Add slave "internal" IDE hard drive to Linkstation LS 2 (mips)?

Hi, has anyone successfully added a second internal hard drive to this NAS?
How, like this?
Changed to an IDE-ribbon with "slave connector"
Used the same, internal power supply as the original hdd?
Formatted the hdd to ext3, added to fstab:
/dev/hdb3 /mnt/extra ext3 defaults,noatime 0 0

Then run
mkdir /mnt/extra
reboot

Ohter things to watch out for?
